RED, ORANGE RED, GOLDEN RED ...

Have you been to Lightning Ridge - A well known opal field for BLACK OPAL before? Black Opal is named this way, because of its dark body tone ...

This precious, amazing Australian Gemstone is ONE AND ONLY ... Not only for its rareness, its uniqueness but also for its ARTISTIC CHARACTER !!!

To begin with, have a look at this color combination! And when it's turned to other directions, its "PLAY OF COLOR" (color change) is just un-stoppable ...  From red, then changes to gold, and then green ... some blue also appears from middle of no-where, etc ...

Our website can take you to an extra-ordinary world - a "RAINBOW WORLD" from Down Under, if you have some minutes to spear.  (^^)

Oh, and don't miss out our BIG SALE
"10th Anniversary Sale"
offering for this month only. If you miss out, you'll have to wait for another 10 years to grab a BIG SALE like this ...
Can't wait, can you?!?

Today has been pleasant in Gold Coast, our customer is all happy when they come into the showroom (located in 26 Orchide Avenue, Surfers Paradise, QLD, 4217) and we are happy too, with a beautiful weather like this.

Hope you'll have a great day!!!

OPAL EXPERIMENT ...

For those who's not familiar with Ethiopian Hydrophane Opal, please see the link below.

G'day from Gold Coast, Australia.
Our new experiment on solid opal is

"Using Food Coloring Liquid" !!

Not sure what it says but it seems very strong and powerful liquid ... strong enough to get your fingers smudged easily
.

The chosen one (for experimenting ...)
would be these beautiful pieces.

Top - Ethiopian Hydrophane Opal (8.27ct)
Bottom - Australian White Opal (7.00ct)

Both to be placed in a clear glass bowl and ready to be soaked into Food Coloring ... (^^;)

Remember, left is Ethiopian Hydrophane Opal
and the right, is Australian White Opal.

Here we go !!!

After 10 minutes of waiting ... This is what happened !!!

Top - Ethiopian Opal
Bottom - Australian Opal

You can clearly see how the whole image is changed in Ethiopian Hydrophane Opal, it sucked the coloring liquid and became another unique piece of opal !!!!! Nothing's been affected / done to Australian White Opal ... Stays the same.

Well  .... (as expected), look what happened to my fingers. It's a small price to pay when considering what we have learnt from our OPAL EXPERIMENT and that how powerful the "food coloring" is ... hehehe.

So, the point here is "be careful" when you wear an Ethiopian Opal ... Your body acid, your colorful clothes and many other things can easily change your OPAL!!

We will let you know what happens next, after trying to get its color and beauty back ... In the mean while, have fun today!!!

An Opal from Koroit

We have less than 4 days to go for Spring,
here in Gold coast...
Exciting??? Yes, very much!!!

Such as my feeling right now,
we have got a new exciting beauty.

An 100% natural,
 Boulder Opal from Koroit, QLD.

In general, this field is famous for Matrix Opal,
which is an opal mixed with the parent rock (ironstone) .
like a picture below.

Because the special formation of ground,
which creats rare and unique Boulder opals,
the opal has vivid red, green, yellow, blue
and so on, involved with a natural looking ironstone.

Soft, but joyful rainbow colours in a good shape
is definitely hard to come...

It would be a so much fun for you!!

BRAVO, AUSTRALIAN GEM !!!!

How would you describe the beauty of this ..... ?!?

It's just too difficult isn't it !!
You can see how beautiful it looks, the clarity (clearness) is so fine, lots of colors to match with your dresses and shoes.... reasonably a large size (5.05ct) to make into any item you wish for...and the best part is it is "ONE AND ONLY" ...

It's not just about how beautiful this piece is, but it's also about how "SPECIAL" Australian quality Black Opal is !!!!

An imaginable beauty...

That's what they are.
No wonder some people will call this gemstone a "RAINBOW STONE" because it has all the color you wish for....

What a GEM.....   (^^)
