Selling, Selling, "SOLD" !!!

Selling more and more of 'HIGH QUALITY'
pieces like this ...

Solid, Australian black opal loose stone,
nice proportion with medium dome cabochon,
has over 7.0ct in size, showing some large & beautiful pattern, has 'play of color' and comes with a very dark,
black body tone !!

And the price is right !!!   (^^)

What more could you ask for ??!?

Check out our new collection, which we've just listed online today.

Now that we need new quality opals to replace
what's been sold lately ...

Our fear is the production of Lightning Ridge's
black opal is so low and the price is sky rocking.

The miner is struggling to find any new,
bright opals with dark body tone in opal mine.

How much more can the miner
continue mining opals ?

How much more the price of this 'rare gem'
will continue going up ??

Only GOD knows, haha.

Anyway, while our quality opal's still
available to be purchased online,
do not miss out a chance everyone.

Keep looking for special pieces because
our opals won't be around for the current price
for much longer !!

Less opals therefore more value.

Thanks for your understanding.
(^^)

Love Australian black & boulder opal ♪

An Opal from Koroit

We have less than 4 days to go for Spring,
here in Gold coast...
Exciting??? Yes, very much!!!

Such as my feeling right now,
we have got a new exciting beauty.

An 100% natural,
 Boulder Opal from Koroit, QLD.

In general, this field is famous for Matrix Opal,
which is an opal mixed with the parent rock (ironstone) .
like a picture below.

Because the special formation of ground,
which creats rare and unique Boulder opals,
the opal has vivid red, green, yellow, blue
and so on, involved with a natural looking ironstone.

Soft, but joyful rainbow colours in a good shape
is definitely hard to come...

It would be a so much fun for you!!

CLEAN FACE Boulder Opal

Good Afternoon♥

Here is an UNIQUE GEMSTONE.....
not like a Diamond,
not like a Ruby or Sapphire,

YES it is an OPAL!!!

Australian Boulder Opal,
known as having an ironstone on the backing,
is likely to show its ironstone on the surface as well.
Therefore, it could affect the value of an opal.

Talking about this beautiful Boulder Opal,
it has a "CLEAN FACE"
which rarely shows the ironstone on the surface,
means this is in perfect condition!!

Even the ironstone on the backing makes
its DEEP GREEN COLOUR...

Here it is!!!!

A new pendant has just arrived at Opal Direct!!

lots of diamond on its design.

similarity and also have uniqueness on their own.

Making an original ordered pendant top part2

On the other day, I have wrote
Making an original ordered pendant top part1 .

Our jeweler worked really hard for making
the client's order perfect!!

And so, this is what it is!!

WOAH!!!!

The Boulder Opal and  "skeleton" silver pendant top
got together really well!!!!

As Malayvone said on the other day,
this jewellery appeals who the wearer is and it is
"He is what he creates".

Vivid colours of Opal and a cool looking of this pendant
head matches extremely well and express its "Strength"!!

I am 100% sure that it would be loved for lifetime
and would always give wearer satisfaction by wearing
"a master piece" of himself.

Good gemstone or jewellery is not only for dressing up
or showing off, but also for appealing "who you are"!!

Making an original ordered pendant top part1

On today and next upload,
I am going to report how to make an original jewellery.

This time, one of very fashionable customer
has ordered to set his favorite opal from Opal Direct
into his own "COOL" silver pendant.

This is the Loose Stone that he selected from Opal Direct.
We have introduced this beauty on the other day in here.
Solid Australian Boulder Opal 2.05carat from Queensland.
What a sparkling colour it has!!!!

Then, this is his pendant head.

We want the opal to sit on it like the picture below.

How the jeweller work on them!?
Would it be perfect!?
Would the opal sit nicely on the pendant head!?

I will report how it ends up next update!!!!
So don't miss out!!!

Heat up Ethiopian Opal in microwave!?!?

Have you seen a page of

This page is one of very popular page on
Gemstory's website and there is a gentleman,
Mr.Ben, living in USA,
who was inspired by the page and made the
same experiment, but with an Ethiopian Opal.

The origin of  Ethiopian Opal is volcanic
so that it has a high water content.
Therefore, it should be protected from heat and
prolonged exposure to strong light, which could dry it out.

Mr. Ben heated up Ethiopian Opal in microwave
in his experiment.

As a result, Mr. Ben has reported
“It fractured into thousands of little pieces・・・・”

When we heated up Australian Black and Boulder Opal
they didn't change their colour or any condition.
Many people think that Opal needs to be avoided
in extreme heat or needs to dip in water occasionally
to keep its best condition, but this experiment has
approved that you should not be sensitive about it.

On the other hand, Ethiopian Opal contains higher
percentage of water. So when it comes to Ethiopian Opal,
you should be more sensitive about heat, dryness and lighting
to avoid drying it out.

Australian Opal is very stable and you don't need to
 be worried too much!!!!!

(I'm not saying that Ethionpian opal is bad!)

Everybody has a different taste,
some people might like a milky colours or
fragility of Ethiopian Opal, or some people,
like me, love a stability and vivid colours
of Australian Opal.

In the end, I'd like to thank you to Mr. Ben for
reporting such a great work!!

See more experiments???

Red On Black

Have a look at this video on our You Tube channel!!!

Solid Australian Black Opal from Lightning Ridge

It's rare to see such a RED!!!!!

If it is a ruby, it should be called a "pigeon red"
to express it's glowing appearance.

If it is a coral, it should be called a "oxblood red"
which means a top quality of all.

If you are looking for a fire opal
by expecting like a Mexican "fire" opal,
you will be even surprised
due to its dark and bright appearance.

A true top quality red opal or fire opal
would have a really vivid red colour
 on the black body tone.

Yes, we call "RED ON BLACK".

Wooooo, it definitely takes our breath away!!!!

natural shape in a simple design

May starts from today, time flies so quick!!

Opal is such an unique gemstone.
Especially Boulder Opal,
because of its uique formation of
ironstone and opalise area,
it usually comes with a natural free shape and
it can be designed very special piece
that nobody won't wear the same.

What a shape!!!
No other gemstone won't be enjoyed by a shape like this.

Moreover,
what makes it looks so special is
the way changing colours from top to bottom,
pinfire of greens, a large broad pattern in the middle and nicely brushed touch of gold and red like a gradation.

Therefore, there is not many things to do
to enhance its  beauty.

I believe that simple is the best!!
