I am not perfect ... but still 'pretty special' !!

Australian opal, especially black opal is 'very rare' ...
So rare that an opal loose like this 318K
( showing sand spots and potch lines on its surface )

will still be high priced due to its large size, desirable shape, bright colors, high play of color and dark body tone.

For more to view, check it on YouTube

↓

Another piece of black opal loose like this is super pretty !!!

However some buyers may say it's not so perfect due to its light body tone and unique shape,
difficult shape to set into jewelry, etc.

Often offered by much lower price many year ago
but not the same case today.

This black opal (semi black opal) is beautiful for its clean face, flashy pattern, strong character and large carat size, vivid colors and the color combination, its unique shape can add a bit of value for some jewelry designers!

View its prettiness on YouTube

Selecting Australian black opal can be difficult and time consuming, as they don't come around easily and the price is often high, a bit higher than what many
people can imagine anyway.

Also since it's so precious, there's no other piece to replace
if you miss out a chance to buy one ...

A perfect piece of black opal or not so perfect,
it all depends on how you think and see it.

I guess it's really important that you take time to examine each piece of opal and consider carefully by seeing many more and study more before you decide to buy one.

That way, you'll love this gem for a long time.

Money can not replace its beauty, guaranteed !!!

Enjoy beautiful collection of top black opals.
(^^)

Million $$$$ & Million years old "KANGAROO" from Australia - Lightning Ridge !!!

Look at this !!

If you're a genius, you'll see what I see !!!!

And if you're amazed to this million dollar art, created by the nature, you'll love it as much as I do !!!!!!!!!

I went to see friends and associates at Lightning Ridge - home of the black opal - early this month.

Went to say hello to black opal miners at Sheepyard & Grawin (the best PUB ever!  lol) and tried to purchase as many quality opal looses as possible directly from the miners ...

Sadly, there was not much I could pick up at the time. Opal miners could not do much last month due to the rain and machinery breakdowns ... and NO OPAL was found, of course.

Without much luck of purchases, I was a bit disappointed and was about to leave the mine empty handed.

Then THIS PIECE (OMG) turned up,
right in front of me  (@ @) !!!!

I knew I will always be LUCKY with opals.

This black opal loose made my whole trip to the ridge worthy and made my heart dance ...

It's a KANGAROO PATTERN and I have never
seen anything like this before.

Thanks to the opal miners who's constantly working hard, seeking for a miracle piece like this for us, for the world !!!

It's exciting, very unique and beautiful ... I love everything about this black opal, not just for its precious pattern but the shape, large size, brightness and its play of color
(color change).

Hope you'll consider having it as your pet,
haha !!!!    ^^

"THANKS" to BEAUTIFUL OPALS ...

Australian Opal - Just individually unique and precious ...
and extremely BEAUTIFUL nothing can be
compared to this gemstone!!
Its color, patterns, character, free formed shape and
of course, its 'rareness' ... Just too unique ♪

Finding one high quality Boulder Opal like what
I am showing here, is a hard sweat ...
The miner must deal with the hot heat all day,
must work in a dusty condition wearing the right gear,
they must spend so much fees and time moving the machinery
& repairing it when it breaks down.

Could you be the one to do it all??!!?

Finding Australian Boulder Opal & Black Opal
is not something many miners could do,
simply because there's too much risks & costs involved,
yet the amount of opal they can find is ... absolutely next to nothing !!!!   (><)  !!!!!

But why are there still some opal miners continue mining??
Well, either they are crazy (hahaha!) or just too much
in love with this gem, they just don't know how to
stop looking for ONE !!!

Once they get involved in mining these
'EXQUISITE OPALS - Black & Boulder' ...
it's in their blood for the rest of their lives.

As an opal exporter & wholesaler, representing Australia,
I really am proud of my profession -
and thinking "I am one of a CRAZY one too,
been involving in this for the last 20 years" ...  (^^;

Gold Coast, where I live is so different to the opal mine ... sometimes it is good to be in the field with friends,
but always nice & relaxed to be at home of beautiful beaches.

Have a good afternoon, my friends!!!
