So long my lovely "second home" ...

It's been 10 years since we've opened our retail space
in Surfers Paradise District.

The very "EXCITING" 10 years I must admit ...

Lots of dramas (usually good), laughters, joy of tears and unforgettable memories
we shared with our beautiful shop staff
& our customer!!

But that will come to an end, because we
have to move on when the Lease Contract
finishes this month. (- -;)

Well, one page is ending here and another page is
just about to open, that's all !!!

The business will stay running even without
our retail space. Now that we can concentrate
on more things such as exporting & wholesaling
to Japan, as well as to other markets.

With more time at my new office (my home)
I can design new products for our
new customer and so on ...

Just can't tell enough how much I appreciate all my shop staff, friend and regular customer ...

To those who's been supportive since year 2003.
Without you, we wouldn't get this far and be here today so "THANK YOU" sincerely.

I remember my very first item ( K18 Diamonds -
Solid Australian Boulder Opal Pendant )
I have designed for my USA customer in 2003 ...
Sending this item to USA was not easy due to the
limitation of insurance value and all the rule
I was not very familian with, back then ...

Anyway, customer received it after waiting for
several weeks and how happy she was,
she called me from CA just to say "thank you"!!

This piece is special, is still one of my memorable item, hehehe ... (^^)

Stay in touch, cheers!!

What to do on a HOT DAY !!??!

Hello from Gold Coast !!!

Wow, it was really hot and humid yesterday, wasn't it? Well, since it was 'hot' yesterday, all my family could think of was to jump into the swimming pool and save yourselves!

But just don't forget some important rules ... which is to 'Splash sun oils' all over your face & body ... And 'Wear your UV sunglasses' to protect your eyes!!

But, really, in the end ... This is what happens!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's just like "Don't worry, be happy and just hang on to your Daddy" (hahahaha ...)

In the city life like this, we can jump into the pool and cool yourselves ... but in the opal mine, there is no such facility so we only can run to the PUB to avoid the heat and just drink non stop!!! That's AUSTRALIAN WAY to get through the day during summer time ...

Gold Coast is nice and sunny, come and walk along the beach ... You will enjoy your day for sure   (^^)

Say "HELLO" to our NEW BABY...

Been waiting for this "RED"...

I am happy that our friend from 'WINTON OPAL MINE' has brought some new pieces from their opal mines in Winton this week. It can be called 'RED' depending on the lightings, but it would be best to describe this piece as an 'ORANGE RED'...(in my opinion)

What an exciting piece!

A clean face Boulder Opal Loose like this is already a rare find, along with its 'Electric Color', the vividness, the shape and its color change (Play of color) is so gorgeous. Lots of Orange, Gold, Red and Green...

Only those who can hold this piece in their hand will be lucky and happy... I can't wait to design something really special with its unique shape when my customer selects it.
Thanks to our good friend, who is working hard at the mine, digging tones of soil everyday!! "Good Work" indeed.

VISITING "LIGHTNING RIDGE" - Black Opal Town

Remembering my last trip to an amazing isolated town - LIGHTNING RIDGE !!

It took us about 10 hours driving from GOLD COAST CITY and the road was quite smooth ....

Our friend, a black opal miner at the 'sheepyard' demonstrated his skills in mining and his hard-work.
We wish he'll find some good pieces from all the dirt he's dugged...

Hummmm.... 'good try' but sadly there's hardly any QUALITY BLACK OPAL from the whole bucket.

Well, let's see what is available this time and we will have to continue contacting each other, my friend... It's hot, sometimes flooded and there's not much luck this time.

We shall return again soon !!!!
