Autumn leaves

A very new Boulder Opal has just arrived at Opal Direct...

Filled with full of colours, 4.97 carat Solid Boulder Opal has a magnificent beauty!!

Let's have a look at the back.

Boulder Opal has formed naturally in an ironstone rock, comes from Queensland, Australia.

sometimes has ‘hills’ and ‘valleys’ on the surface.
That's why these stones are preferred by people who have more originality or who are more progressive in their jewellery tastes.

This adorable piece reminds me the view of autumn leaves in Japan,  maples and the other trees on the mountain turn into red, yellow and golden colour from summer green colour...

Visit Opal Direct's website to see this beauty!!

New arrival on 24/Nov!!

Australian Opal has become rarer for various reasons, simply there is not much reserve of opal or such as the increase of fuel cost and the decrease of miners.

In spite of difficult situation, I am happy to announce you that Opal Direct has received some new beautiful pieces, the gift from heaven.

They are both my favorite colour, BLUE :)

What I like of them is such a dramatic play of colour they have!

A elegant green colour shows. it's sometimes mild and then the next moment could be so flash.

Please don't miss out these beauties, have a check on Opal Direct's website.

Learn before buying ... !!!

Another beautiful day in Gold Coast !!!

And another beautiful piece my customer was interested in ... This is a solid, Australian black (semi-black) opal pendant, set in K18 & Diamonds, my original designed item.

Unfortunately, this customer I was assisting was not aware of the quality difference in Australian opals ... never heard of 'Doublet' or 'Triplet' so I took time to explain and showing all kinds of opal which is available today!

She appreciated all information and told that she'll have to save up "MORE" to buy a special piece of jewellery like this ... At least she understood my point & I am hoping to see her in our showroom again, in future.

The more patient you have and more researches you do before buying 'high jewellery', the better for your money!!! Right or wrong? Please use the link here for more information.

Well, Australian black opal is not easy to replace, that's for sure ... (^^)

BLUE POWER !!!

BLUE  ...  It is the color of  'peace and tranquility'. Its cool, calming effect makes time pass more quickly and it can help you sleep well at night.

Remember when we lie down on our backs and look into a bright blue cloudless sky ... feeling so calm and relaxed? That's what this color does, helping both physical and mental relazation, reduces stress and creating a sense of peace ...

Also BLUE COLOR is known for trust, honesty and loyalty. It is sincere, reserved and tranquil, doesn not like to make a fuss or a coflict ... so if you are seeking for a harmony in daily life, then wear something with blue !!!

This color represents 'confidence' as well, therefore when you carry a little charm or when wearing a lovely blue color accessory, your confidence will increase and your voice will be heard. Take a control & act fast when there is a chance!!

Opal's amazing power!?!?

Hello from Gold Coast!!

Besides known as a beautiful gemstone, Opal also has another power/effect.

"Besides Being Gemstones, Opals May Decontaminate Nuclear Sites" by STANFORD UNIVERSITY

In this study,  a team of researchers is proposing to imitate nature by using amorphous silica — also known as the precious gemstone opal — to sequester the uranium. Once ensconced inside opal, the uranium molecules would be rendered immobile and chemically inert!!

According to computer modeling studies, opaline silica may offer a faster, cheaper, more enduring way to sequester uranium than other current or proposed methods.

Have a read this article and tell me what you think!!
